We also incubate relevant and potentially autonomous initiatives, created either inside or outside the organization. In NOSSAS’s history, we’ve developed several activist projects to follow up on mobilizations, to respond to social demands or to propose innovative solutions to issues that we’ve identified.

Incubation is a way to offer a safe space so that these initiatives develop and later lead their own paths with autonomy. We offer formation in tools and communication strategies, we share our methodologies and mobilization technologies, we support the creation and the brand placement and we help to create solutions in people organizing, technology and volunteering management. When they’re ready, the projects are de-incubated – they can become autonomous organizations or bind to already existing public organs or entities.

Amazônia de Pé

A national movement for the protection of the forests and the peoples of Amazônia, bringing together organizations and activists mobilized in networks, streets and rivers in all of the country’s regions.

Mapa do Acolhimento

A solidarity network built to connect women who suffer or who suffered from gender-based violence to psychologists and lawyers willing to help voluntarily. Today Mapa is an autonomous NGO.

Defezap

Defezap is a pioneer report system against the State violence in Rio de Janeiro, directly on WhatsApp, ensuring the confidentiality of the victim.

Acolhe LGBT

This solidarity network for the LGBTQIA+ connects people that need psychological support to voluntary professionals.

Rede de Apoio Psicológico

In 2020, we connected health workers who were in the COVID-19 combat frontline to voluntary psychologists willing to help them.

Beta

Facebook’s first feminist robot, Beta was developed to keep up with bill projects regarding women’s rights and to warn when there’s a smell of regression in the air.

The platform promotes, in each election, the digital meeting between candidates and voters who prioritize the same issues.
