In 2025, our then Executive Director, Áurea Carolina, was selected for the Tällberg Leaders Mentoring Leaders program, which develops emerging leaders with high potential.

CAF AMERICA

In 2023, we became a CAF America validated organization. The badge certifies that we have completed the due diligence process and are eligible to receive tax-efficient funds in the US.

KESEB DEMOCRACY FELLOWSHIP

In 2023, our executive director Áurea Carolina was selected for Keseb's Democracy Fellowship program, which promotes international collaboration to strengthen inclusive and resilient democracies.

SHORTY IMPACT AWARDS

Our Assemble the vote campaign, with Quid and Mídia Ninja, was awarded by Shorty Impact Awards 2023, in the Nonprofit category. We also received a gold mention in the Call to Action category.

THE DOT GOOD

In 2023, we were the 3rd nonprofit in Brazil 50 NGOs ranking by The Dot Good, which maps civil society organizations based on criteria of people-centered governance, innovation and social impact.

ONLINE PROGRESSIVE ENGAGEMENT NETWORK

Since 2022, we are part of OPEN - Online Progressive Engagement Network, a global network of activist organizations that incubates and accelerates progressive actions in different countries.

In 2022, NOSSAS was one of the nonprofits awarded the Skoll Award of Social Innovation, which recognizes leaders and organizations that promote social transformations around the world.

PRÊMIO MELHORES ONGS

In 2021, NOSSAS was recognized as the best NGO in Rio by Melhores ONGs, which nominates brazilian organizations with excellence in management, governance, sustainability and transparency.

THE ASHOKA FELLOWSHIP

In 2020, the executive director of NOSSAS Alessandra Orofino was selected for the Ashoka Fellowship, which supports social entrepreneurs from different countries.

UNDP/NAMATI JUSTICE PRIZE

In 2018, we were awarded the Grassroots Justice Prize, promoted by Namati and the Global Legal Empowerment Network, with Defezap, winner of the Achmed Dean Sesay Memorial Prize for Innovation.
